Male cosmetic surgery growing more acceptable

As more men choose to have cosmetic surgery, the procedures seem to be more acceptable, reports one satisfied surgical patient.

After spending years in the gym and trying other methods to reduce the size of his waist-line and get rid of his love handles, 37-year old Scotsman Alan Duncan turned to surgery.

Mr. Duncan told interviewers that he made a decision to reduce his girth with liposuction last December, paying £3,500 for the procedure.

Mr. Duncan was surprised that the procedure, which he had done at a hospital in Spain, was not painful and took only 45 minutes.

I had to wear a support garment for six weeks, but when I took the bandages off I had a smile on my face. There was a marked difference, he revealed.

The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) reports that 2,500 British men had plastic surgery last year, and Mr. Duncan does not mind saying he is among them. He says he would consider additional procedures in the future, as well.
