More and more patients are inclined to turn to liposuction when they consider cosmetic surgery, according to one expert.
More people find cosmetic surgery acceptable today, and many are willing to tell others of their surgical procedures, says Felicity Quigley, a spokeswoman for Looking Good BuyAssociation.
Ms. Quigley explained that there have been many advances in liposuction procedures recently.
Patients have access to a variety of treatments, including SmartLipo. Today, the technique is both socially acceptable and effective.
Ms. Quigley believes that Botox and liposuction are the two most popular cosmetic surgery procedures.
Although the procedure is primarily sought by women, Ms. Quigley pointed out that more men are turning to liposuction and other cosmetic surgeries.
Men may not be as likely to admit to having surgery, but it is no longer considered socially inappropriate, she said.
