Although there is a huge difference in cost for laser eye procedures, overall the cost of the procedure has dropped by 80 percent.
Patients who suffer from modest near-sightedness can pay from £295 to £2,000, even when factors like equipment, training, and technology are the same, says Dr. Dave Allamby of Focus Laser Vision in London.
Dr. Allamby, who is amazed at the difference in price, believes that everyone should be able to afford the procedure.
Dr. Allamby sympathizes with patients who are trying to find a clinic for the procedure. Clinics seem to describe their services in much the same manner, yet patients may pay thousands of pounds more, depending on the clinic they choose.
