Growing number of men are choosing surgery to give them a boost in their self esteem and improve their physique.
According to data gathered by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the number of men electing to have fat surgically removed from their breasts increased by 27 percent last year.
In 2007, 224 men asked surgeons to correct their gynaecomastia, the name given to large breasts in men.
Men have learned that there is a solution to their condition, says Dalia Nield, a consultant plastic surgeon at the London Clinic. They no longer believe that they must accept it; they turn to surgery to improve their quality of life.
