The Independent General Practice (IGP) will open a new "super surgery" in Cardiff Gate in March, according to reports.
IGP opened in 2004 as the first private GP in Wales; today, the private practice serves approximately 1000 patients in Cardiff, Cyncoed, Newport, and Swansea.
According to reports in the Western Mail, the new surgery will include five consulting rooms for private GP services, vaccinations, occupational health services, medical examinations for insurance purposes, physical therapy, medical legal issues, and non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
IGP has grown very quickly over the past four years, according to Dr. Joanna Longstaffe, clinical director, and the new surgery provides an exciting opportunity to expand services further.
Several specialists have indicated an interest in joining the team of 10 clinicians; their contribution will allow the clinic to offer a wide range of medical and cosmetic procedures.
