Botulinum toxin is one of the most poisonous, naturally occuring substances in the world, despite this, it is used in small doses as a cosmetic treatment, generally for facial procedures such as Brow Lifts. Botulinum toxin is more commonly known as botox.
Botulinum toxin is used to treat frown lines, when it is injected into the muscles around the brow area, it causes these muscles to become paralyzed, causing any frown lines to temporarily disappear.
This type of treatment is very short and usually takes between 5 and 10 minutes for the procedure to be completed. There is no aftercare required, allowing you to carry on as normal straight away.
